The Bear’s Lair boasts seven great restaurants that offer a choice of dynamic, ethnically diverse eateries presenting an array of cuisines at student-friendly prices. Come and experience the eating adventure in the Bear’s Lair Food Court, located on the bottom level of the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union.
The main inside seating area provides Internet access as well as a comfortable place to study or meet friends. The Bear’s Lair also offers two large patio areas for outdoor seating to enjoy Berkeley’s great outdoors.

The Bear’s Lair Brewpub reopened its doors to the general public on September 1, 2001 with a whole new look, a new menu, and over 20 different beers on tap. Operated by the same people that brought you Jupiter (1981 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley) as well as Triple Rock Brewery (1920 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley), the Bear’s Lair offers fabulous pizza, huge oven-baked sandwiches, Big-bowl salads, and a variety of tasty appetizers. The Bear's Lair has picked up where Pappy’s Pub left off, and created a new destination spot on campus.
